Connect With Food

Connect with Food is part of the initiative to work towards changing the habits related to food within the Southall community. We wish to work with the members who attend the sessions to create a safe place to discuss various aspects of food.

We are not a cooking class and neither are we here to pass judgement on your food choices.
We are here to listen, talk, discuss and share ideas on how subtle changes within our eating habits could lead to a long term positive impact on our lifestyle and journey.

Getting in good shape

The Let’s Go Southall steering group has been working collaboratively with the Southall community, Ealing Council staff and local organisations to develop and deliver the pilot. There has also been work to establish the programme internally within Ealing Council, including:

– Two staff workshops in October 2018 and January 2019 to raise awareness, get staff thinking of ways they can help to deliver the pilot and sharing valuable knowledge/lessons learnt on previous and current work that has been undertaken in the Southall area.

– An internal workshop has started to specifically engage council staff who work with schools and generate discussions on opportunities for networking. We feel this is a key area for the pilot to help educate children and families about the benefits of being physically active and the local facilities that are available.
